Headquartered in Madrid with over 2.300 employees working in Spain and Germany, the company manufactures an array of defense equipment, ranging from combat vehicles to artillery systems, and light weapons and munitions. Santa Bárbara Systems has five main business lines: Armored Vehicles, which develops and manufactures wheeled and tracked combat vehicles; Special and Amphibious Vehicles; Weapons; Ammunitions and Propellants and Research & Development (R&D). It also has a license to co-manufacture the Leopard 2E main battle tank for the Spanish Army and the vehicle RG-31 Mk5E especially designed for resisting mines.
