Encryption capacity and management<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The communication system supports encryption using an internal AES.256 (CBC) encryption algorithm. The cipher block can be omitted to enable the unencrypted mode of operation. The system supports key injection by the customer using a designated key loader provided by the customer or developed by the vendor.<\/p>\n

Video compression<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The communication system includes a video encoder and decoder using the H.264 video compression standard. The remote transceiver can be connected to an analog composite video source or SDI interface through the use of a Commtact video encoder unit.
The Central Terrestrial Data Terminal transmits the video to the video player installed in the control station computers.<\/p>\n

Software defined radio<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Commtact products are based on software defined radio (SDR) architecture that enhances system capabilities and reliability. The SDR design allows Commtact to provide our customers with state-of-the-art technology that can be easily adapted to their requirements. To meet evolving technological demands, customers can easily upgrade SDR systems. The upgrade is based on a software and firmware update without the need to change the hardware.<\/p>\n

Transmission Security (TRANSEC)<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The system implements two complementary techniques: Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum Spread Spectrum (DSSS) or Frequency Hopping (FH) aimed at counteracting hostile jammers and reducing the electromagnetic footprint of the transmission thus reducing its exposure to hostile parties achieving a low probability of interception (LPI) and achieving privacy thus increasing the robustness of the system. <\/p>\n
