CAMBRIDGE PIXEL
Cambridge Pixel is a specialized engineering-oriented company focused on the acquisition, processing and visualization of primary radar video and related sensors. We are based in the UK and operate worldwide.
COMPANY HISTORY
Cambridge Pixel was founded in 2007 by Dr. David Johnson to bring modern COTS computing power to radar display and processing requirements that previously required dedicated hardware. Growing every year, ISO9001 quality certification was first awarded by BSI in 2009 and growing export success led to winning the 2015 Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade. The tenth anniversary in 2017 meant expansion to larger facilities and continued growth of the team.
The company remains independent and maintains a core technical focus: 80% of the staff has engineering expertise, including the entire sales team. Managers average more than 25 years of experience each in radar systems, and many of the employees match or even exceed that experience. The philosophy is to offer quality products and services with first class engineering support. Today it is a supplier to many of the world’s largest system integrators and radar suppliers, and is still based in Cambridge, UK, but exports to more than 50 countries around the world.
